To extend your existing application, please submit an additional application within your existing application in the service portal:

To add further users to your project, please submit an additional application within your existing data usage application in the service portal.

As the data usage agreements are tied to your specified research project/ purpose of use, please submit a new application for each new project/ purpose. When doing so, please make sure that you specify all the data packages you require and all current secondary users.

A complete application or agreement is not required to use a Campus Use File (CUF). All we need from you is some statistical information.

In principle, the search portal only lists the data products available in the FDZ-DZHW. If you do not find what you are looking for, you may find further DZHW inventory data or data from other research data centres in Germany helpful.

Yes, it is possible to access a data product via remote desktop (and on-site) with multiple researchers and collaborate in a shared project directory.

Please save and close the files you want to export and delete all old files in your export folder. Then copy the files to be exported into your export folder.

To import files to the remote desktop or on-site system, please send an email to userservice@dzhw.eu with your contract or application number and the files that you would like to import. After passing the data protection audit, we will provide you with the files in the import folder within your directory (see under the read more)

Usually it is possible to load only a part of a data set with certain commands.

In the best case, you contact us as soon as you plan to apply for a specific project. This is the best way to plan the necessary resources and take legal requirements into account. And we can provide you with the most extensive support in your data transfer during the research process.

Yes, if the requirements for data transfer by the FDZ-DZHW are met, we will be happy to accept your data.
